First published in 2012, Sting of the Heat Bug tells of "a love that cannot be broken by time or death"(Cortney Davis). At times hilarious, at other times heartbreaking, the memoir follows the author's journey from age 2 to about age 60, enjoying at first the "luck of the Irish" and then experiencing devastating losses. But when he sees how other people deal with loss, his shattered faith is restored. The book has been redesigned inside and out with additional color photos, a detailed table of contents, reimagined typography, a Prelude and an Epilogue, matching the look and feel of his 2024 memoir, In My Father's Tire Tracks, with which it is paired. See "A Marriage of Memoirs" on how to save when you buy both.
